I specialise in hand-finishing wooden frames including oak, walnut, ash and maple along with locally sourced wood which can be stained, waxed and treated to compliment the work being framed.
You can also choose from a range of contemporary and traditional frame options sourced from leading suppliers in Italy, France and the UK.
Framing artwork with a traditional bevel edged window mount whilst also protecting it from contact with the glass. As standard I work with acid-free materials and can advise on single, double and triple mounts using a variety of colour options with different depths of mount best suited to your artwork.
Works particularly well with artworks that have a rough or deckled edge. With the piece being mounted on hidden board to create shadow and depth around the work, presented in a frame with spacers to prevent contact with the glass.
A more modern finish of framing creating a float area between the glass and artwork using spacers which have the option of being custom lacquered to compliment the artwork and frame option.
Artwork framed without a mount and filling the frame entirely. Suitable for maps, posters, prints and photographs.
A great way to give a gallery finish to original artwork on canvas or board, surrounding the artwork with a frame that includes a float space between the two. I have natural wood finishes and can also custom lacquer frames to suit the artwork.
I specialise in conservation and archival framing which includes the use of PH neutral and acid free materials where appropriate and ensures that all framing processes are fully reversible and any artworks can be safely removed in the future if need be.
